Tara Sue Me: The Chalet - a review

The style is more or less the same as in the earlier books of the Submissive trilogy: the main characters are drinking elegant wines, are reciting poems, reading classical literature, and planning their marriage. The only twist is that at the request of the new bride, they make a vow not to be together for a month. In the spirit of this, the first half of the short novel is a love-romantic passion with alternating points of view, which is annoying, because Nathaniel's figure is extremely out of character.

A month passes slowly, and then, according to the script of romantic movies, obstacles roll in front of the lovers. But then, in the second half of the story, comes the real, soft BDSM story, which we are already used to from Tara Sue Me. This is a closing bonus after the trilogy, although these characters appear again and again in the writer's later books. A pleasant, easy read.

Review of Tara Sue Me's "The Training"

This is the third part of The Submissive series. The characters are the same as in the previous books: Nathaniel and Abby and their friends and relatives. And while the first book was told from Abby's perspective, the second from Nathaniel's, now they replace the narrative chapter to chapter.

This tiem, the two characters live together and get closer to each other day by day. They also visit friends and relatives sometimes, getting to know each other more and more details. So their relationship is getting stronger and stronger.

The sex in this book is much more interesting, exciting and real. I really liked the part when they visited Nathaniel's master and witnessed how BDSM can be part of marriage. But there are other fine stuff as well like cum play and hardcore anal. And she kept the good hard face fucking scenes I loved so much in the first the books.

It really feels like the author took the time to build this book up. There are no huge fights, the tension between the characters is definitely lower, but they live a steady BDSM life and it's really entertaining to read.

Based on all these, I find it the best of The Submissive series. It's still romantic, still can evolve but it's very promising. It made me curious about the other books in the series.

Review of "The Dominant" by Sara Tue Me

All the while I was reading this book a bell was ringing in my head: "Cheating!" That's right, Tara Sue Me was cheating during the writing of this book: she simply too the first one and changed the perspective to the male character, kept most of the dialogs and the story, added a few extra chapters and boom! You have a whole book in a few weeks!

There not much difference from the first book: Abby is still the submissive for Nathaniel West, the rich guy and business man. Aside of a few social events, they spend their weekends the same; hidden in his home, obeying his orders. Except the sex is a little bit dirty, which makes the text more enjoyable.

For start, we get na extended scene of office role play. Later on, the weekend continues in hot anal sex which in definitely not the vanilla we get in the first book. But my favourite was the scene SPOILER: when Nathaniel had his flashback about the threesome he had with another dom and a shared submissive. This is where we can see how hot actually the author's fantasy is; but she's cutting the scene so a lot remains in mistery. SPOILER END

I asked in my previous review, whether you should you read The Submissive. The answer here is easy: If you're interested in the story, one of these books is enough to read. The same is with the sex: you don't get pretty much more from this book.

So... do you see why I started my review with "Cheating!"?

Review of "The Submissive" by Tara Sue Me

Abby applies to be a submissive for Nathaniel West, the rich guy and business man. She spends the weekends in his home, obeying his orders. Aside of fucking in every room of the house, they have a pretty good time together; they cook meals I carve for, they have fun in the snow outside.

The settings are well written. I can almost see in front of me the slave being naked, on her knees,
waiting for her Master to enter the door. Even the characters are interesting; the elegant Nathaniel with the mysterious past, the fluffy librarian Abby with her kinky desires, the family members, the exes, the friends, even Appollo, the dog. All vivid and living characters. They have real life adventures, desires, even fears.

My problem is with the sex, which should be BDSM according the title and the cover. But what you get is plain fucking. Okay, the Master fucks Abby's mouth sometimes hard. Aside of this, every sex scene is simple vanilla sex, with some presence of submission toys and some spanking. Oh and there is one occasion of anal - it is so romantic my tears almost poured out. It misses any primal instinct of lust when you have wild butt sex.
Read any story written by damonx; there is much more submission, dom/sub play or sometimes on the edge of humiliation in any of them.

So... should you read The Submissive? It can be an entertaining book for a long travel or for a summer trip. But definitely not a guide to BDSM sex. It's just a romantic love story with lots of spanking and face fucking. If you're into this kind of stuff, you should give it a try.
